Greetings All,
"Tomorrow, tomorrow...I love ya, tomorrow..." (Why do "Annie" songs keep popping into my head while we are here?)
Our court date has been pushed back to tomorrow (Friday) at 10 a.m. We stuck around the court this afternoon for several hours hoping Yuri could get the documents from Kiev faxed to us here. However, it didn't work out. They had a big SDA meeting today that lasted all day, so they didn't release anyone's documents. Have no fret! We do have the documents signed and ready to go for the judge first thing in the morning. Now, usually you get custody of the children the day after court. However, considering our court date is now on Friday, that would mean we would have to wait until Monday. Natasha, our lawyer, is really pushing hard for us to get them before the weekend. We will see...
We did find out we will have to stay here in Kirovograd until mid-late next week while Natasha gets our birth certificates completed. We then have another week in Kiev before returning home. We are anticipating, but not setting in stone, an estimated October 2nd return. We will see... Even though two weeks seems like a long time to wait still, it's all good! After all, that would only be a month from start to finish, which is much shorter than we ever expected.
Well, today was a very draining day, so I'm going to pour a glass of wine for my husband and myself and we are going to chill out and relax a bit.
Please pray, if it's God' will, that not only will the court hearing go well, but we get all the paperwork done before the weekend so we can take the boys out of the orphanage.

ReplyDeleteBoys are just in from school and we are trying to skype you. Your neighbor, Laurie, came down today in the rain with a huge bag of clothes for Alex Yarik. Can't wait to show you on skype! I washed the darks and am working on the lights. You will not believe these clothes!!!Ralph Lauren, OshKosh B'Gosh,Disney, etc.They are adorable!!! We thanked Laurie at the bus stop this afternoon. Another awesome friend!!!

Hmm . . . you need a new musical. Maybe a song or two from Oliver Twist? Do you know "I'll Do Anything" or Consider Yourself". After that I've got nothing but Guns and Roses "Patience" If you don't know it I am sure Lamar does, have him sing it for you. At least these suggestions might put a new song in your head. If all else fails sing something from Mama Mia . . . Ok enough joking around. Friday September 18, 2009 sounds like a really good day. You have our continued prayers and love.
