Dearest Friends,
I just went back and found an entry Joshua added after I had read that day's comments. It made me cry. I still sit here with tears in my eyes thinking of him looking for each and every letter on the keyboard as he is sounding out words he's not sure how to spell. My mom says he spends so much time at the computer composing his messages.
His words and message touched me so much that I am copying and pasting it (just the way he wrote it) and adding it as an entry to share with you all.
Joshua, my dear son, thank you for your sweet and encouraging words. I enjoy our Skype time, too, but can't wait to hold you in my arms again. Please continue to be helpful in school. That is the best thing we can hear is that you are helping others. What you write about your brothers is just as special as what adults write, too. Be proud of yourself and what you do. And as always, keep trying your best.
Daddy and I love you very much and we are touched beyond measure that you and Jacob are trying so hard to be good for Nana C and Papa J. Hang in there....we will be home soon.
I love you, dear. Share my long distant hugs and kisses with your brother!
Love,
Mommy

Dear Mom and Dad,
ReplyDeleteI love you and miss you with all my heart. We are praying for you.We are trying to skype you.
Yes! We reached you! Love,Jacob
Yay Joshua! I am soooo glad to hear that you are doing well in school and I absolutely love every word you write! You are a WAY better writer than most of us silly adults. We just put our ramblings there to let your mommy and daddy know that we are still thinking about all of you!!! Most of the time mine don't even make sense but I know that just by typing anything my sis (your mom, of course) will "feel the love". Jacob, I am not leaving you out in any way either... I think that your entries are wonderful, too and I know that it must be almost unbearable to have your mommy and daddy gone this long. I am so proud of you for being such a trooper! You boys rock! I love you!
ReplyDeleteLove,
JL
What an amazing family you have, Lamar and Kristina! Joshua and Jacob- you should be so proud of yourselves and the wonderful young men you're becoming. I know that each and every one of us are so proud of you and amazed by the giving hearts you have. I know you miss your mom and dad but they will return soon and I'm sure you're going to get the biggest hugs EVER! We love you very much! Love, Rex, Amber, Nicole and Bryce
ReplyDeleteJoshua was so excited this morning when we read your blog! Did not know you could hear us on skype, but pleased that you did! Jacob dictated his message to Joshua and Josh typed it! You do have awesome boys (as you know)! Still praying for all of you! God bless.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Mom
Just getting in from work, and I am proud of my nephews as always! Joshua and I know how it feels to be the oldest. We'll always share a special bond. Of course, Jacob and I enjoy each other's company as well. I can count on both of them whenever I need a word of encouragement. They rock! I can't wait to meet the new boys so we can create new memories. Love, Aunt Teresa
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time you guys and gal are having!! Probably not as much fun as Joshua and Jacob running the show back in the USA!!! HA HA HA...Addie, Ainslee and Garrett had my parents to themselves all last week while we were in Montana, and I know they had a BLAST!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are so thrilled to see that french fries are now normal diet!!!! I cannot imagine a child not ever having been to a McDonalds!!!!! I know it happens like that to millions of kiddos, and we take everything for granted here....Now to get them loving a REAL burger joint...FIVE GUY'S!!!
THANK YOU so much for the priceless stories and countless memories you have shared. Hope chasing these "little boys" is getting your daily check in the box for a workout!!!
Can't wait to have you all home!!!!
Love you!!
